Tournament Information & Basic Rules
- FIFA rules apply with some exceptions
- Registration of maximum of 12 players
- Game time: one period of 15 minutes - with the size of the field and the heat we feel this will be challenging
- Interchange / rolling substitutions apply
- No offside
- Field size: 70m x 45m with Full Sized goals - why would you want to play on a small field with small goals?
- Goalkeepers cannot kick directly from hands
- Teams play a minimum of 5 games
What Makes the Phuket 7s So Special
The Phuket 7s is our flagship inaugural tournament, with its first edition dating back to 2003. It is remarkable to reflect on how far we have come: what began twenty-three years ago with just two visiting teams playing on a modest vacant lot has since evolved into a premier international event, attracting over 120 teams from more than 25 countries annually. After transitioning through seven different venues, the tournament has finally found its permanent home at the exceptional Thanyapura Sports and Leisure Complex.

Thanyapura provides a world-class range of sports, wellness and recreational facilities for the enjoyment of the school’s pupils, their families, the local Phuket community and for visiting professional and amateur athletes from around the world.
